A good ab workout. Yes, running alone won't cut it. It is also necessary to work those ab muscles. But don't just think that crunches alone will do it. You want to hit all of the muscles individually. Try a combination of crunches and hanging leg raises to really solidify the muscles
. Then to really lean out those abs, I recommend investing in a hip-hop dance or belly dancing instructional video. The moves in these dance forms are amazing at isolating the individual muscles. If you have cable, check out FitTv's Shimmy.
One last point, keep a food lodge. My doctor had me do it and what a surprise. There were all sorts of hidden calories I didn't realize I was eating. Don't cheat on your healthy fast food
lodge. It is only there to point out where you might be able to cut some calories. Remember your object: for the ladies to look great in their Bikinis and the guys their 6 pack abs.
The basic mantra of getting the perfect set of abs is that firstly, you have to strengthen the abdominal area and then focus on losing the extra belly fat. In fact, you may have the best six pack abs, but it may be invisible to the naked eye. This is due to the layer of fat that is deposited over it. Naturally, removal of that excess fat is a very important part of this mission.
One thing I quickly want to mention is that you don't necessarily have to buy a six pack guide right off. You can ease into the process with a free resource that will better educate you first. This is the way I recommend to people for the most part.
Now that we've got the exercises out of the way, you need to remember that the biggest factor in bringing out your abs is your diet. Regardless of what you do in the gym, if you eat garbage, that belly fat is going to stay right where it is. Remember, "abs are made in the kitchen" not in the gym...
In order to get best results, diet and fitness should work together because they complement
one another. Employ a good fitness program to burn excess fats and calories while eating a correct diet to give nutrition for the body for health and muscle growth. I've heard many times in my life that a pound of muscle weighs less than a pound of fat. While this is not true at all, a pound is a pound regardless; a pound of muscle occupies less space on the body than a pound of fat. Pound for pound, I would much rather my body be composed of muscle than fat. Dieting alone does not Build muscle and that is something you will do well to keep in mind in your efforts.
